Our little people have seen Michelle and my first aid kits in travels the past couple weeks, so they wanted their own. I found two empty altoid tins grabbed some small gauze pads, bandaids, alcohol wipes, and antibiotic ointment around to make the 6 & 4 yr old first aid kits. Before we built them though, I told them that they should never have a component in their kit that they don’t know how to use. I first taught the 6 year old how to bandage my arm by first cleaning the cut, then putting ointment on it, gauze pad, and then to use four bandaids to secure the pad. After he did it, then I had him teach his little sister. Pretty proud of them and am glad that they each have their own first aid kits they built and know how to use in their travel bags 😊 #prepping #firstaid #homeschool #grownostr #proudparent
