The first successful rooting of a lemon balm cutting I’ve ever been able to do. I had this stem in a cup of water and under grow lights for about 3 weeks. The cut end submerged while the rest was suspended above the water on plastic wrap. Yesterday I looked and there were a bunch of fresh roots coming out, so I planted it in a solo cup and it looks good today #gardenstr #gardening #grownostr

I love how resilient comfrey is, we split root cuttings into solo cups last summer, they grew in the cups and we never decided where to plant the 7 new plants before fall took hold. We didn’t know whether they would make it sitting outside all winter in a plastic cup, a real mild one for Michigan this year, but we still had almost a solid week of subzero windchills. Yesterday I looked at them chilling in one of our beds and two already have new chutes #comfrey #gardening #michigan

So I’m asking for help on this, I’ve plugged it into different identification apps and have never found something definitive… does anyone know what this tree is?

It gets these spore pods and they only get these orange gel fingers when it is wet out. I’m in mid Michigan.
